Ek Ardass Seva Society Organizes Drug De-Addiction Awareness Programme
Ludhiana | April 30, 2026
In a meaningful initiative to create awareness among the younger generation about the dangers of drug abuse, Ek Ardass Seva Society organized a Drug De-Addiction Awareness Programme at R.K. Public Senior Secondary School, Ludhiana.
The programme brought together students, teachers, parents and members of the community with a common objective — to spread awareness, inspire young minds and strengthen the message of a drug-free society.
🎭 Students Spread the Message Through Nukkad Natak
One of the most impactful highlights of the programme was the participation of the school students themselves.
The students presented an engaging Nukkad Natak (street play) based on drug de-addiction and the harmful consequences of drug abuse. Through powerful acting, meaningful dialogues and a socially relevant message, the students highlighted how drugs can destroy not only an individual's health and future but also affect their family and society.
The performance received appreciation from everyone present and demonstrated how young voices can play a powerful role in creating social awareness.
🎤 Powerful Speeches by Students
Students also delivered thought-provoking speeches on drug de-addiction, sharing important messages about staying away from drugs, making healthy choices and encouraging friends and family members to follow a positive path.
Their confidence and enthusiasm reflected the importance of giving young people a platform to speak about issues that directly affect their future.
💃 Little Ones Add Joy to the Programme
The programme also witnessed a beautiful performance by the young children of the school, who presented a delightful dance performance.
Their cheerful participation added a positive and energetic atmosphere to the event while making the programme more engaging and memorable for everyone.
🌱 Inspiring the Young Generation
Addressing the students, Karanvir Singh Bassi spoke about the serious physical, mental, social and financial consequences of drug abuse. He emphasized that addiction can negatively affect an individual's education, career, relationships and family life.
He encouraged students to stay focused on their studies, dreams and positive activities and to seek guidance from parents, teachers and elders whenever they face challenges.
📖 Awareness Through Education
As part of the programme, a 10-minute drug-awareness session was conducted to educate students about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
Awareness magazines containing useful information about drug addiction were also distributed among the students, encouraging them to learn more about the issue and share the message of awareness with others.
🏆 Honouring the Contribution
During the programme, Karanvir Singh Bassi was felicitated for his valuable contribution towards spreading awareness against drug abuse and inspiring the younger generation.
🤝 Together for a Drug-Free Society
The event was attended by President Nitin Sharma, Deepak Jain, Rishi Sharma, Sakshi, Sukhdeep Singh, Rohit Ray, Divya, Kamlesh Chand Sharma, Divya Dogra and other members and well-wishers.
The enthusiastic participation of the students made the programme particularly meaningful.
